LearnBetter is a Windows desktop reader that captures selected PDF text, generates a grounded question and AI answer, then sends them to Notion with the exact copied text preserved.
How to use it
Three steps from PDF to revision notes.
Choose local model
Run Ollama on your machine and choose the model you want LearnBetter to use for question generation.
Highlight and capture
Select text in the PDF, right-click, and LearnBetter appends a question toggle to Notion.
What gets saved?
Each capture stores the generated question, AI answer, exact copied text, source page, PDF fingerprint, and Notion sync status.
What if sync fails?
Failed Notion or AI syncs stay in a retry queue. LearnBetter retries when the app opens, network returns, or setup is saved.
What do I need?
Windows, a Notion page, and a running Ollama model such as gemma4:e4b.
How is this delivered?
This download page is containerized with Nginx and deployed to Kubernetes through Argo CD GitOps.
